You may notice on the outsoles of our Dock Boots there is a split at the top, usually on the inside of the boot.
This is not a fault with the boots, it is part of the design. Usually, on a pair of non-vegan boots, this area is made from compressed leather and forms a smooth line around the boots.
Currently, we use either rubber or TR (synthetic rubber) to make this area of the boot. It cannot be sealed together, and there is always a line where the two ends of the strip meet. It is just a sign that your boots are vegan that they have this feature. It is not a structural issue or something to be concerned about.
